Mary (Doyle) Lefebvre of Bristol, CT died on July 17, 2010.  Mary was born in Wallonsburg, NY on July 23, 1922, the daughter of John and Dora (LaMountain) Doyle.  Mary attended school in Keeseville, NY.  She worked as a dress maker and secretary of a church in Whitehall, NY before moving to Bristol.  She worked initially at General Electric, at which time she was introduced to the love of her life.  Mary married John Lefebvre in 1949, and raised four children on Sandra Street where they became part of a close-knit neighborhood of families.   Mary became the first secretary of St. Gregory Church in 1957, working closely with Father McNerney in support of the new parish.  She served as secretary of the parish for 40 years before retirement in 1998.  She was also active in many parish ministries and a founding member of the Rosary Society. Mary and John celebrated 61 years and marriage and commitment to each other.  She was a beloved and dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister, recognized as the matriarch for the family.  She strived to keep family members connected, and her wisdom and generosity were sought out by many family members and friends.  She enjoyed gardening and was appreciated for her culinary skills.  Ask for pies! Besides her Beloved John, Mary remains close at heart to her children, Rachel L. and Randy Schmitt, Dan Lefebvre, Annette L. Phillips, Gerard and Josephine Lefebvre. She also leaves six grandchildren, Kenneth and his wife Rebecca Schmitt, Adam Schmitt, Christine Phillips. and her fiance Nick Piro, Renee Phillips and her fiance Joseph Sullivan, Matthew Rooney, and Michele Cyr.  Her sisters, Irene Brady, Virginia Galarneau, and Helen Deneu and brother Charles will miss her presence in their lives.  Her in-laws, Ruth Doyle, Roger Caya, and Veronica Doyle mourn her passing. Mary was predeceased by her brothers, John, Jr., James, Joseph, Francis, and Karl and sisters, Marguriete Doyle and Catherine Caya.  She was pre-deceased by in-laws Betty Doyle, Grace Doyle, and Maggie Doyle. Mary was held dear by many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was grateful for her long friendships with the Whelan, Conrod, and Skinner families.  She will be remembered most for being a faithful servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  May she rest in His Peace. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, 9 A.M. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Gregory Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home today (Monday) from 6 to 8 P.M.
