Joe was born to the late Thomas Meddly Levesque and Ernestine Goudreault Levesque in Bristol.  As one of the early parishioners of St. Ann Church, Joe attended the parish school.  He graduated from Bristol High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably in the Army of Occupation in Japan.  Upon returning from his service, Joe attended the Cheshire Academy and later graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Pharmacy.  Joe and his colleague Henry LeBlanc founded and operated the L&L Pharmacy in Forestville.  Later, Joe owned and operated the Liggett Rexall Pharmacy in the Bristol Plaza where he served Bristol families over many years and he continued serving the public as a CVS pharmacist until his retirement. Joe met the love of his life Ardath Milburn and they were married in 1955. They spent more than 50 years together raising a large and loving family and serving the community.  Joe spent over 30 years as a CYO teacher at St. Ann’s Church and was later ordained a Deacon, serving tirelessly for 29 years as a devoted leader in his parish.  His last sermon, written and ready for next Sunday, will be undelivered.
