Nicholas R. Fusco, 78, of Bristol, beloved husband and best friend of Elaine (Carpenter) Fusco died at his home on Monday, July 19, 2010 with his loving family at his side. Nicholas was born in Waterbury on June 25, 1932 and was a son of the late Nicola and Elizabeth (Raymond) Fusco. He grew up in Waterbury, attended Waterbury schools and served in the U.S. Army. He move to Bristol 45 years ago and prior to retiring in 1986 he was employed at Index Manufacturing. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bristol. Nicholas was a wonderful husband, family man, and loved his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by two sons, Daniel Fusco and his wife Carol of Terryville and Thomas Fusco and his fiancé Tara of Lee, MA; a daughter, Lynn Rayburn of Bristol; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and Richard Levasseur of Las Vegas, NV; a sister-in-law Jill Snow and her husband George of Bristol; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Denise, and her husband, Matt, Danny, Elizabeth, Jeff, Bryan, Kelsey, and Carlie; a great-granddaughter, Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Fusco and a son-in-law, Steven C. Rayburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
